Past: 🪩Flora & Fauna Earth Day Silent Disco🪩
Hello fellow Earthlings! Come boogie and celebrate earth day in true Santa Barbara fashion - a beachside dance party!
What: Silent disco at the beach! Dress up in flora and fauna inspired attire in honor of the day! Headphones and jams will be provided, please plan to bring your own snacks, beverages, and anything else you need to be comfortable at the beach till sunset and beyond. Family friendly and all are welcome!
Where: We’ll meet by the far side of the East beach volleyball courts (near the bluffs and the slough).
Why: This event was inspired in part by the Homeward Bound initiative—a global leadership program for women in STEMM that emphasizes the power of community and mutual support in addressing the world’s most pressing challenges. Two members of Santa Barbara’s Women In The Water community are currently participating in the program’s 9th cohort and are fundraising for support the in-person component taking place in November 2025.
